Thoughts on the Chaotix anniversary story:
It doesn't do anything bad, but I feel alot of these milestone stories are severely lacking in anything significant. I get not wanting to overshadow the main plot, but I don't want to have everything sonic puts out this year to be "pretty good but lacking."

Segas fault for constantly throwing around the idea of “crossworlds” ”multiverses” and saying they’re going to bring in characters “from all corners of the sonic universe”
Nevermind, having a whole track in crossworlds that closely resembles SatAM backgrounds over any other sonic thing.

Not the exact same art but the artist for that card does the Retail incentive covers for nearly every IDW issue. So you can get a similar vibe from one of these.

They have rights to Gmerl, Mecha Sonic, Metal 3.0 and Chaos sonic. They do not have rights to use Shard. Shards tied up in multiple archie creators, so while there's a chance some obscure characters will drop. For shard, you'll have to settle for one of his four successors.

Not officially, this is the mecha sonic that was called silver sonic. Different robot from a different Sonic 2. Archie used the silver sonic name for the first mecha sonic, but officially they're mecha sonic I, or Robo Sonic if you want a unique name, like lego gave it.

I feel you're confusing power ranger fans with fans of mighty morping who only watch stuff that specifically calls back to the first series. Any Power ranger fans I've come across are just toku fans who started with Power Rangers. The easy test to tell between them is asking them who this is.

That's... not true. The only ones who haven't appeared are characters who wouldn't make sense showing up, because they're dead, missing or trapped in another dimension.

Overthought a Sonic fighting game template so much that I made mechanics for it. Feel free to make your own roster with the blank template. Character types are summarized in the first image. I left two templates in case you don't want any preset characters.

I think we can discard basically every in universe argument against your favorite sonic character coming back.
If sonic can drive around in a form he canonically can’t access next to hatsune miku and Nine, I think wanting playable Maria and Tikal in non-canon multiplayer games is also reasonable.

Well then you got alot to catch up on. He’s even had a car bed in the archie comics and live action movies. He’s also been tied to biplanes since the first game, his main logo is based on aviator emblems. Vehicles and sonic go hand in hand.

Game continuity doesn’t really have any good options, since he doesn’t have a lot of people his age that he wouldn’t think of as family by the time he’s an adult.
Best option I’d say is pulling in pearly the manta ray from archie, or one of the Halloween special kids.

I tend to pair her with pre-reboot archie characters due to the lack of game & movie continuity characters that click with her energy. Harvey Who very much feels like the harsh mentor to her gentle teacher. If you want a toxic ship that’s guaranteed to fail but has interesting lore, finitevus.
