How worried do we think Zuckenberg is for sending out a survey containing this question?

It’s such a pleasure these days to use Pinterest. The ads are almost unnoticeable.

Google showing me targeted ads telling me to install Chrome in Chrome.

This is truly the level of accuracy worth losing our collective privacy rights for.

(I thought it might be a spoof, but that's even worse as it would mean they aren't even able to block scam on their own brands)

As a reference, this is an "adjusted" scale for people with chronic pain. See how a "10 Unable to Move" shows up differently?

Yeah.

Oh if only there was a system for Yahoo Mail to send me a notification when I actually got email instead of having to randomly remind me to open an empty inbox…

…to see their ads.

F*ck you too Yahoo.

It's not enough that the UK TV Licensing simply says "buy a license" and puts the "I don't need a TV license" as a hidden option, they also play games with the form to try to make people stumble by changing the question structure half way through.

So many dark patterns.

Ridiculous framing.

Cancel culture was a thing. Used clearly, effectively.

Then right wing grifters started abusing and diluting it ON PURPOSE to make it a bad thing because they were often the ones affected by it.

You can’t call yourself a journalist and ignore basic research.

No link for you.

Some say the manifesto of 8/8/8 is a lie.

I think it's more an example of how something good was absorbed and regurgitated by the capitalistic machine.

8 hours... lunch excluded... commute excluded... prep excluded... whoopsie, we are at 11-12 hours now.

Home admin?

Recreation gone, little cog.

I’m in Brussels, saw this in the Natural Science museum, and I’ve to tag @erikahall.bsky.social for obvious reasons.

Internet users:
1999: 248M
2009: 1.7B
2024: 5.5B

It’s almost as if it’s easier to reach 365B searches if you have <checks notes> 5.2B more people.

Shocking I know.

I keep saying that it’s so obvious Labour going against its own principles and program that won the elections must have another explanation because the evidence it’s killing them is overwhelming.

And the first thing in my mind is. Who is paying them?

They are moving fast.
By summer all trans people might not be able to spend any significant amount of time in public spaces.

Hey OpenAI, tell me again, did you ask for consent for all the data you ingested to train your model? Or... are we being hypocrites?

As long as that keeps being the case, I can't see how you can be mad at this.

I feel there should be an easy toggle for the markers on a map in Google Maps to flip on and off quickly.

I *want* to see my markers 99% of the times. But not always. Why can't i just quickly flip them off and on?
