He either approved this backroom deal or is even more clueless than appears. Either way he has to go. And every Dem Senator who voted no should be calling for his ouster, not just pretending to be angry and taking cover.

I’ve been furious for a long time but this was the last straw for me

Every federal worker who has been clocking in without pay, every protestor who showed up for No Kings, every voter who turned out for Dems Tuesday, every community member confronting SS ICE in our streets - all of us braver & better than these "leaders."

Done

And @schumer.senate.gov let it happen. He needs to step down or be voted out.

I can still vote in the Democratic primary as an Independent in California

Respect

Preaching to the choir here. I turn out and vote blue in every election and will continue to do so as long as this is the system we’re stuck with. But I won’t call myself a member of this spineless Democratic Party.

100% we need new Democratic leadership and a real opposition
November 10, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Thank you. And please work on your colleagues. We need new leadership in the Senate.

I registered as a Democrat decades ago at age 18 (the first in my small-town NH family to do so). I was proud to identify as a Democrat then, but no longer. If Dems cave now, I'm done putting my name on this party and will re-register as an Independent like you, Senator, someone I still respect.

If Democrats in the Senate cave now, today's Democratic Party is something I can no longer put my name on. After decades of voting as a Democrat, I will be changing my registration to Independent (like @sanders.senate.gov--a Senator I do still have respect for).

A Democratic surrender in the Senate now would be a slap in the face to all the millions of Americans who came out to say No Kings, who are defending their communities against this cruel and violent administration, and who just voted for something better.

I haven't lived in NH for a long time, but my family members still do, and our NH ancestors fought for freedom from another mad king in the 1770s. @hassan.senate.gov and @shaheen.senate.gov v: you need to do better for the people of the Granite State.

We need a real opposition leader in the Senate, not @schumer.senate.gov. I just left messages for Schumer, @corybooker.com, and "my" CA senators @schiff.senate.gov and @padilla.senate.gov.

We need you to take care of yourself too!

Let’s hope Maine also finally rejects Susan Collins

And anti-trans messaging lost.
