Short Story Update: I appear to have been longlisted for the #WriteByTheSea short story contest.

No doubt this is a clerical error that will soon be resolved, or a superior story was submitted with the same name.

Finally submitted for the last of the three competitions I was writing for. Now to get back to writing science fiction and fantasy to be thrown in to the void of the internet and never heard from again 🤣🤣🤣

I've thrown my hat in the ring for The Bridport Prize.
I've taken probably the best short story I've ever written and sent it in. If it fails (as it will) I'll probably just publish it online, so watch this space! 😁

I just submitted a short story for a competition for the first time ever.
I'm not going to win, but I'm pleased to be at the stage where I'm finally throwing my hat in the ring for these things.

The one quibble I have with short story competitions, is that inevitably what I write ends up being over the word count (by a lot) and I end up liking what I wrote too much to edit it down.
Sigh, time to start from scratch. Again.
