It looks like it's all that's holding that erlenmeyer flask up, so you might have one of these kinds of situations when cleaning up. Careful!

Pictured: A permanent ban from all of Reddit. "Harassment" they say.

I think the Reddit admins need a fucking dictionary.

I've found exactly one ever, and it was living in this hollow dead tree in Northern Nevada. Only chanced on it because a friend accidentally disturbed its home. It was pure luck, I have no advice to give.

Of course he doesn't care. Black triangle.

3 more nights worth of data added, and you can really start to see the clouds now! #Astrophotography is definitely a hobby for patient people. Super grainy, I didn't have the SNR to actually stretch it this far but I really wanted to see the clouds. 🔭📷

Apparently #owloween is a thing, so here are some shots of the time a friend leaned against a dead tree and a Northern Saw-Whet Owl angrily informed us that this log was occupied.

I was privileged enough to meet one of these in the wild and happened to get some shots that really show off the murder mittens. Absolutely my favorite animal encounter so far!

I live in an incredibly light polluted place and got into a habit of only doing #astrophotography when I traveled to dark sites - but I started here with worse equipment and fewer skills so...

Returning to my roots. Orion Nebula, M42. 3 entire nights of data under Bortle 9+ skies. 🔭📷

I think it's safe to say that last night's VR work session was slightly derailed by my discovery of music visualizer environments

We had aurora borealis about a month ago... in Las freaking Vegas. Absurdly far south for Aurora!

Barely visible to the naked eye but long exposure photos of it looked damn pretty.

Haven't been on here in a while, looks like things are finally kicking off! To the newcomers, I gift some of the best pictures I've ever taken: 📷🪶 This Northern Saw-whet Owl got spooked out of its hollow log and absolutely posed for me. Such a great encounter!

I live a handful of miles away from this thing in the biggest light pollution eyesore in the country. I still shoot through the light pollution. Starlink ruins my shots. This stupid thing ruins my shots. A few candles in a window is meaningless and you're an antisemite.

This D&D character portrait, on the other hand, was almost certainly generated from unethically sourced prior art, and I did not love this character as much as those I drew portraits for by hand, even though my own drawing skills are much worse than this.

And this one was sharpened by a NN that does a much better job estimating the point-spread function for deconvolution than traditional methods.

In both of these cases I explicitly used a tool that I knew to be AI, but neural networks are everywhere and it's important we qualify which ones are bad.
