One of the most overlooked details in Atlas Shrugged is that significant villains are _also_ industrialists and that’s another way this “dream” falls apart. These bros _think_ they’re John Galt or—worst case—Hank Rearden but they’re more likely to be Jim Taggart or Oren Boyle (and not know it).

To the extent Trump's claims about abuses were ever validated (rare, but see: Carter Page/FISA)—it was... the OIG that investigated and proved it. Tells you that he *clearly* doesn't want similar accountability/oversight.

This isn't unusual for him: during the Flint Water Crisis, he promised to install filters in _any_ home—which were already being widely distributed by other groups—and, instead, spent less than $1M to buy filtration systems and some Chromebooks for the schools instead. Same playbook.

Define "certified" 😉. Neither the interagency process nor the definition of certification are specified in the statute, which seems to leave a lot of wiggle room. All of the paths forward may be legally dubious, but 🤷‍♂️

There is also the famous "Green Book" in the US DoD "Rainbow Series", published in 1985, includes actual math—based on a combination of arbitrary assumptions and real-world factors that aged very poorly—to support password policies. It's also pretty stunning to look back at.
