the most victim/survivor centered advocacy org i’ve worked with (professionally/personally) or heard of. advocates unfortunately wont be able to get MPD to do things any better but it can be helpful just to have someone on your side (plus victims rights legal support, support groups etc)

sorry for unsolicited advice and pls ignore if unhelpful but: if you were assaulted in DC you are eligible for services at NVRDC (Network for Victim Recovery of DC). Hopefully you’ve already been offered their info but just in case! I worked there about 7 years ago and it was by far the most (cont.)

also an old lady quacked at me and my duckbill mask last week (trying to tell me to take it off so she could hear better) and if it was like, a patient i’d MET before or someone who wasn’t already being ornery it’d be one thing and i’d humor them but i’ve been stewing about it ever since
