“Mask friendly” policies don’t work in hospitals.
They send the message that there’s something wrong with masking. That those of us still worried about covid are to be pitied but not protected.
People believe if the threat was real - masking wouldn’t be optional.
Which is why it shouldn’t be.

i really love how i, someone who “came out” in 2014, am now back to being effectively closeted at work in the year of our lord 2024 because my coworkers do things like laugh at videos of “a gay guy” crying over his children’s book being banned. very cool, very forward thinking
