The pricing data gets even more interesting when you look at it through the lens of inflation. $80 for Mario Kart doesn’t look so bad compared to paying $140 for games back in the 90s, does it? Top end games have always been pricey. Gaming has never been a cheap hobby.

Here’s an interesting graph for people complaining about Nintendo’s pricing for Mario Kart and being outraged over $80 games. You’ll note that it wasn’t until 2022/2023 that prices returned to their mid 90s peak. And this is before you factor in inflation, this is just raw pricing.

I’m really proud of what I accomplished this year. 501 new subscriptions, 602 new followers in just 129 streams (so roughly 5 new followers and 4 subs per stream), 130K chats sent (so roughly 1,000 messages a stream)…I’m blown away. #twitchrecap #twitchrecap2024

I love just how much this was influenced by my streaming playlists. It shows just how many hours of my life I’ve dedicated to my stream this year and that makes me feel super proud with how consistent I’ve been.

RE: The “Having a different opinion shouldn’t stop us being friends” debate. You can’t act like denying rights to women, POC and LGBTQIA+ people is a difference of opinion. The two “sides” aren’t the same, they aren’t equal, and nobody has to accept your different “opinion” when it’s so wrong.
