We were just talking about this in our ICEB meeting (int’l council on English braille) and will be writing a letter to support continued a mandatory federal requirement for free matter. (Canada is a member of ICEB). BANA is going to also.

Finally got the third book, Lords of Uncreation, by A Tchaikovsky from the library—I had been waiting a while! Having to remind myself of the details but enjoy being in that universe again.

I saw a ton of them roosting in trees by a park and it stopped me (US visitor to Adelaide) in my tracks. The sound of them all! The sheer number of them (thus “ton”) was so amazing. Super cool. So happy to saw that

I had to tell my sister-in-law to stop. I love her but the AI crap was the worst. She kindly stopped but teases me about it a bit. I reminded her of a mutual friend who works (currently!) as an illustrator—don’t think she had considered that.
