Bubblicious and I were out at Dilworth ParkPhilly today. They have really gone all out with the Holiday Market decorations. There is even a carousel in City Hall courtyard! Staying in town TGiving. If you are passing through Center City say hi!
Bubbles is a black Corgi Spaniel in a warm navy puffer jacket in the Dilworth Park Wintergarden.

Happy Halloween from my baby brother who liked to scare the trick-or-treaters at his historic house on the south side of Chicago. He’s moved house to the suburbs this year so new traditions are yet to come.

Bubbles my black and white bib Corgi-Spaniel is not content to sit on grass at my feet but has to jump up on arm of Adirondack chair to be closer to me. Dilworth Park Philadelphia People lining up beginning before 8am in Rittenhouse Square Park on Saturday. For what? This bakery is renowned and you line up because they are typically sold out by 10:30. A not very good photo of some of the Manna Bakery offerings. Once they start allowing patrons - who file up slowly and respectfully waiting turns one or two at a time - it is swift business and a quick sellout.

I am in The UK 🇬🇧 this week at Cambridge so I’ve been up for a while! Pub dinner the other night at The Eagle reminded me of Scottish-style pies that we used to make for my Glasgow-born dad.

My family full of them. It was a great job for new immigrants, esp like my dad from Glasgow without even a high school diploma. Supported a family of six and all we were able to do.
My dad Ardel "Scotty" McKenna in his dress uniform. It was quite common for families to come to the firehouse on holidays if your father was working. This is us, my dad standing, mom sitting, my bro on mom's lap, my sis pouting. I am oldest of six. In 1967 there were four of us but #4 must have been with grandma. He was only six months old.

Corgi meetup in Dilworth Park this morning and dog event in Rittenhouse Square yesterday. Found out Bubbles short tail is not “docked” but native to Pembroke Corgi’s. He is half.
Dilworth Park fountain sculpture a popular place for kids to frolic and cool off. Philadelphia Center City. Bubbles black dog with white bib shyly taking in all of his Corgi cousins. He is half Corgi, half Spaniel. Unexpected Corgi meetup this morning. I guess there was a global Corgi day celebration on the portal in the Philadelphia City Hall courtyard but the gate is not open until 11 so they improvised. Yesterday at a dog event in Rittenhouse Square. Sign mimics the famous Robert Indiana Love sculpture that is a symbol fo City of Brotherly Love with variations found all over the city.
