Deer hunting season, late November in north-central Wisconsin. When I sit in the woods for up to 10 hours, I have to find ways to entertain myself. Sunday morning it was watching the sun rise, and then slowly watch the light work its way down the trees above me.

Remember when Scott Bessent repeatedly claimed that the U.S. had all the leverage in trade negotiations with China? A lot of participants in the farm economy would beg to differ. Including some of my own family.
Fox: Why won't China buy our soybeans? This is retaliation for the trade war. China knows that American farmers are now losing their biggest customer. China in the last 5 years has bought more soybeans than any other country combined. Now 95% of their soybean purchases come from South America.

Red-spotted Purple Admiral butterfly in our yard today. It went to the garage floor twice; I think to eat the salts and minerals off the concrete.
