Drones have once again been seen near Munich Airport, causing it to close and inbound flights to divert.

Turkish Airlines orders 200+ Boeing aircraft.

And in more tragic news the airline has updated its livery and removed the silver flower from behind the wings with its latest Dreamliner delivery.

Some fun apron markings on the ground at CPT.

Welcome aboard Ethiopian Airlines flight ET707 from Frankfurt to Addis Abeba, operated by a 7 year old A350 which feels twice as old on the inside as the seats are extremely worn and extremely loud music is being blasted through the speakers during boarding.

Planes at Frankfurt Airport, including the very A380 I flew on from LHR to SIN last year

Hidden in IAG‘s H1 report is the announcement that Vueling will receive the group‘s order for 50 737 Max (25 each 737-8-200 and -10), with deliveries beginning late next year.

This is a big load of crap and yet another case of Simon losing his mind.

His whole argument is based on the idea that there was a dual engine issue before someone cut off the fuel supply. Except that there is no indication of that anywhere, and the report explicitly states the contrary.

A security issue with Alaska Airlines (opb Horizon) flight AS2123 from Seattle to Walla Walla (fun name) has caused major disruptions at SeaTac, which is down to one operational runway and was completely shut down for a good 45 minutes.

Level‘s price structure seems to be not so thought out.

Here’s a (bad) picture of them shortly after departing Munich

Welcome aboard Ryanair flight #FR5789 from Faro to Nürnberg. This flight is operated by Malta Air and one of their 737 Max 8200 aircraft, my first time on this variant. Legroom is meh, but at least I have a good wing and engine view from 8A.

That was a fun flight on the Edelweiss A340-300 down to Faro. They even served a complimentary snack, which was delicious! I’ll now enjoy two days of sun and beach before heading back home.

I’ll be boarding this oversized hairdryer in a few minutes. 4 engines 4 a shorthaul flight to sunny Portugal.

Welcome aboard Swiss/Helvetic flight #LX1165 from Stuttgart all the way to Zurich. This E195 was delivered to Helvetic a year ago and has a very nice interior, including two USB (A and C) power outlets at every seat.

A private jet with some unknown issue is causing diversions and delays at Munich.

For a couple of moments I really thought I was, yet again, watching a plane crash live on Flightradar.

Thankfully they didn’t and the flight seems to have landed at Tampico airport.

Concorde is back!

Welcome aboard my shortcut home, which is Finnair flight AY1401 from Helsinki to Munich. This A319 also partly identifies as an A320, because the exit sign on my side points to a nonexistent second exit.

Welcome aboard Finnair Flight AY88 from Shanghai to Helsinki. I have invested my four upgrade vouchers to upgrade to Business Class for this 13 hour trek to Europe.

The Comac C919 is a fantastic aircraft. Most of all, it’s probably the quietest out of the new generation narrow bodies.
March 22, 2025 at 3:03 AM
Welcome aboard China Eastern flight MU2151 from Xian to Shanghai Hongqiao, operated by a Comac C919 today. The plane is very nice on the in and outside, windows are quite big and at a comfortable height and the seats are also comfy. The only downside is the small overhead bins.
March 22, 2025 at 12:29 AM
That’ll do nicely for the flight over to Shanghai.

Welcome aboard this evening’s Tibet Airlines flight TV6032 from Lijiang to Xian, operated by an extremely rare Airbus A319neo, out of pure coincidence of course 😉

Legroom is great and so is the wing and engine view from 6F, row 5 has unlimited legroom but this is fine too.
