Bendigo Council enabled destruction of large habitat area with an historic observatory onsite - to be fenced off. The land was a corridor for birds to transit between creeks & treed areas & was a haven for lizards. All for a 144 capacity childcare facility.
So much for their Biodiversity 'policy'.

This coming where was native habitat > 144 children each day from 6.30/6.30. The demographic of young families in proximity neighbourhood less than 10%. Inappropriate location also on grounds that it holds a 100+yr old observatory - to be fenced off. Heritage/Trust/Biodiversity objections ignored.

As mentioned Bendigo council destroyed a habitat & neighbourhood lungs. 💔They now appropriate house block sized landspace issued as play & park areas in established areas some which was donated. The CCC is merely a developer profit exercise. Glad to have left.
