Never too late to try new things!

It's so hard when you just want to help them and they're not ready.
I try to remember "the thing they need to learn right now is that they can count on my love." That the teachable moment is "love," not "you're sick of raw broccoli because it's the only vegetable you'll eat!"

Thanks, that was a big whoops! Toddler came down with a cold right as we arrived & I was alone with the kids for hours; tested our system for failure and found one. Better to learn on a short trip 30 minutes from home, now we have a plan.

Getting ready for camping because it gives me something to look forward to, and also seething and fighting despair because of course. Coping in mostly healthy ways, so that's pretty neat.

So this is what I'm stockpiling. (Or, I guess, not?) How am I supposed to spend thousands of dollars on bras??? That wear out and I'm then supposed to just throw away???
And this is small potatoes in the face of everything else, but we are allowed to be mad about the small stuff.
