I think a lot rides on information asymmetry and bargaining power. Markets work because economic calculations are distributed. Individuals can use info central planners don't even know they don't know. OTOH, bargaining needs to be preserved in order for markets to work. The corporate model (1/2)

I have good news for you, then: Prop 50 didn't touch the nonpartisan commission. All we did was put a new map in place until they meet again in 2030.

Strangers on the internet don't constitute a community, especially in the age of engagement-based algorithms and clout farming. A better answer is to do what you can to find community in real life, preferably with people who touch grass in a healthy way. It's not easy, but it's worth it.
