"Well written, but ultimately nasty" - Chumbawamba's Boff Whalley
It's certainly a question worth asking.
Considering her ongoing charitable work, it's unlikely that she's suddenly become a bigot.
You could start by reading her essay from a few years back.

But all that would come to nothing if the women Rowling supports didn't have a case.
They'd just lose and that would be the end of it.
But they don't do they?
They win.
Over and over and over they win.
Because they're right - morally and in the law.
And you (with your £4,000,000 turnover) are wrong.

It is lovely how they can't find any decent arguments to counter us on Gender so they imagine a different opinion for us to have and argue with that instead.
Can't they tell us we've got fleas and be done with it?
September 5, 2025 at 9:49 AM
Yes.
The arguments, such as they were, were not reasonable, if you ignore the actual arguments and politeness.
September 5, 2025 at 6:33 AM
Let me guess.... All you have is smears because all your arguments are shit.
These boxers have declined a sex test because they are male.

The lower figures are from the Census. My figure just adds a reasonable estimate for Scotland and NI.
The number with GRCs is lower than 10,000.
I see no reason to believe the higher figures, given Stonewall et all were strongly encouraging trans identified people to fill in the Census.
September 2, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Yes, and there's plenty of room for that and still to conclude trans identified males offend at the male rate.
September 2, 2025 at 10:19 PM
All those key drivers also affect a much much larger population of women than there are trans identified males in the country.
An yet there are proportionally very low rates of actual females offending.
September 2, 2025 at 10:17 PM
The argument is not that transwomen are more predatory than other men, just that they are as predatory as other men and therefore should not be treated as if they are women.
September 2, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Mmmmm. That last sentence is interesting.
I thought it was a lovely LGBTQIA++ "community".
Turns out the greatest threat to trans people is their own loved ones.
September 1, 2025 at 9:25 PM
I think you're right about that.
But also, how reliable is your test for trans anyhow?
But there IS a sizeable excess of trans identified males in prison for sex offences over the number you'd expect if transwomen behaved like men.
Big enough to account for the "cis" piss takers you mention.
September 1, 2025 at 9:21 PM
That's a bit of a tangent.
What's your point?
September 1, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Absolutely.
So do you have a ballpark estimate for how many of the 80 or so transwomen in prison for sexual violence are just men taking the piss?
September 1, 2025 at 8:58 PM
Very interesting.
And also Massive ethical alarm bells!
But why "cis" predators?
Surely all predators?
September 1, 2025 at 8:18 PM
Ah, I see.
But I disagree.
I think "gender" is a social construct and in areas where sex actually matters (mostly, of course, it doesn't), doesn't seem to have much impact on how people of different sexes statistically behave.
September 1, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Everything in your list above is a physical, objectively diagnosable condition.
I suppose this is where we differ.
In a world where "Trans" is a stable, objectively diagnosable condition with well evidenced, successful medical pathways your idea makes good sense.
September 1, 2025 at 8:00 PM
For comparison there are about 125 women in prison for sexual violence out of a female adult population of about 27,000,000.
And about 13,000 males out of a similar adult male population.
It's a back of an envelope calculation, but when you do it you see the problem.
September 1, 2025 at 7:25 PM
You might be making the mistake of thinking the sample is the number of transwomen in prison for sexual violence. It's an easy error to make.
Actually the sample is the TOTAL number of transwomen in the UK (about 52,000 - so a large sample), out of which around 80 are in prison for sexual violence.

This is one of those really scary ideas that idealogues have for turning the world into a Utopia.
There are countless examples through history.
It never ends well.
September 1, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Not decided, merely observed.
It is a plausible hypothesis that transwomen (who hypothetically have female brains) behave statistically like women.
But the data says otherwise.
What you're doing is Cartesian dualism, but I reckon you're mistaken.

And on co-morbidities, gender questioning youth and, I assume, adults often present with high incidence of other factors like autism, history of abuse, homosexuality etc
Was the "cis" cohort controlled for those factors?

What do you think, Bambi?
