Zumal die meisten angestellten ÖV-Pendler sich über saftige Erstattung durch Entfernungspauschale freuen dürfen, die unverändert gilt. Ab ~41km finanziert die das D-Ticket komplett, wie ich hier argumentiere:

While the transport minister has praised the simplicity of the #Deutschlandticket on more than one occasion, he refuses to grant this simplicity to low-income earners. At the moment there are at least 15! social discounts, each with different rules! Some apply nationally, others only locally.

Besides, I've done a few side-gigs. E.g. on the #Deutschlandticket, I compiled data of >100 German transport agencies and compared them with the new national flat-fare. In a nutshell: It's mostly existing customers who save a lot, while the potential for low-income earners is not used.

For my PhD, I've found a way to measure #accessibility by #fare. Imagine getting on the bus and saying to the driver: "Take me as far as you can with the €1.70 short trip ticket".

Normally, I rarely wear hi-viz for my work. Most of it takes place in my #GIS database, which I use to investigate the accessibility of public transport.
