It's not an image we share lightly this Independence Day in the U.S. It denotes a level of distress and I think that's a good message to share from a fairly typical American - part of our experiment with democracy for over fifty years now. My heart aches for many of our people these days.

Don't just pray for rain - pray for Utahns (yes, that's how it's spelled). Droughts are a fact of life in that area but measles isn't. Like many conservative areas in the U.S., Utah is on the verge of an outbreak. But yeah, spend your time and energy praying.

Alien Romulus was a fun ride and inspired me to go back over the films. Alien and Aliens are classics for very different reasons and the third is just the worse. Resurrection (#4) was better than I remembered. Too bad the story line wasn't followed up on. Thoughts?
