Yeah, ok. Moss isn't trying to be a good illithid, they're trying to be a good *being*. There's a big difference between those things. They're oft called weak or weird or 'too nice,' and, well...

Moss's favorite treat is simply a shared walk in the woods. They & the Emperor are both workaholics and don't get out much, so it's a rare gift when they're able to convince their partner to get away from the paperwork long enough to meditate & enjoy some peaceful nature together. <:')

Moss is 5'9" as a tiefling, but they cap out at 6'4" as an illithid, once they go through the standard 20 years of squid-growth. (An entire foot short of their Emperor's 7'4", alas. It's a good thing they can float for those forehead nuzzles...!)

Moss has no idea. Their parents couldn't afford to care for a child, so they were left for dead in the woods.
Luckily, they were found & raised by a myconid colony for those foundational years. The spore songs soothed them, making them a quiet & polite (but very unsocial) child.
