You'd think the guy would know how mirror images work, given how much time he clearly spends staring at his own

I'm exactly the kind of fool who would buy a money pit of a castle if I had immoral amounts of money

I'd like to think I'd have more common sense but I absolutely wouldn't; I'd fall harder than I fell for self-destructive goth girls in high school

(actually my spouse does all the cooking and I'm basically not allowed in the kitchen until it's time to slice the cranberry sauce, so technically *I* am not mulling the cider but I still love this for us)

Yes my living quarters also smell fantastic, love this for us

Oof yeah for sure didn't mean that as a swipe at you! Just that the narrative re Lincoln and slavery is waaaay more complicated than the zeitgeist around it

(I mean also a good day to educate yourself about both histories of the holiday, and Lincoln's actual views and actions as regard to slavery and racial equality—but Lincoln can neither vote nor call the cops because he's super dead. We've gotta fix the hearts that are still beating)

Also he pressured his lead actor into driving an unsafe car which then crashed

Al Capone theory strikes again: people who treat people like things also frequently help themselves to other people's money, labor, and works

I often liken it to a coffee shop at a science fiction convention, because that's a context where it is (usually) okay to join an interesting conversation you happen to overhear.

But there are still boundaries to be observed, and no one will be charmed by a drive-by "oh yeah well I hate [thing]."

You're kidding me. We only rate dogs. This is a rainbow bagel. I really need you all to start sending us dogs, because we only rate dogs. Thank you... 12/10 (IG: mrpeanutbutter.69)

Also love "royalties are passive income"

Because you know if you don't get paid for the work until after you do it that's the same as interest on an investment

Love when my biweekly passive income lands in my account from my labor landlording where I rent my labor

The knowledge that people will just run their mouths about Marxist theory with no goddamn clue about what any of it means has saved me from taking so much bait from so many dillweeds

The "authors are idea landlords" one from when this discourse happened years ago on the bad place is just living in my brain

I don't charge it rent though, that idea deserves free housing
