Lol speaking of Christie, while I was complaining on here I got an ad for a version of a public domain Christie novel with an AI slop cover. The jacket copy was just the first few paragraphs of the Wikipedia page.

Her delight is not really clear now that she has it on and is just lounging in it, but she tried it on last night and when Boy Wonder offered it to her earlier this evening she was very enthusiastic to put it back on.

Okay all my puzzle components are coded up and working now (🎉) so it's time to log off. I now have platforms that can drop items, fields that block lasers, and drop fields that will prevent the player from exfiltrating items.

Today's "please clap:" I programmed the puzzle elements to activate in sequence: the button has to fully power up before the cable powers up, and then the reflecting door powers up, moves the laser to the receptor, which powers to open the door.

Sure I COULD watch fireworks, but I'm having more fun making buttons light up and doors go whirr.
[Video has no sound - it's shows a prototyping level where I'm testing out game logic. I have a floor button that lights up when pressed, unlights when unpressed, and powers a door].
