my resolve this year is mostly technical art things like expressions, multiple-character compositions, know enough anatomy for interactions etc. i already get as weird and as not weird as i want with my art, the subject matter is never the problem, its mostly learning things in service of that

the entire cultural exchange aspect of my overseas study was worth more to me than my entire art degree. the latter made me feel so lonely and corporate but the former let me into the rooms of fellow otakus and said you can be an adult whose special interest is tall people

kyoshika hdr reminds me of my japanoomf so much. not bc shes japanese but because she has a wall of her room dedicated to post-it notes with anime character's heights stuck at their place and would get a chair and stand on it to look at the world with johnathan joestars eyes when shes sad

listening to the audiobook (its on spotify if you have that) and just got to this story, cemented me wanting a paperback of it to keep because yaoi/vore/mpreg mentioned, and "no man wants to be topped by someone shorter than his refrigerator" inner monologue was too funny
interested in particular in the one short story where a repressed gay man describes his ideal sexual experience and its a 20-page sadistic cumpig torture manifesto that ends in drowning the whole world in cum or something. lets all do our best to read more in 2026!
