Vertically and backward momentum . Not just Metroidvania to get through the "stage' but a reason to revisit. Replayability plus adds a sense of accomplishment for the player. Doesn't have to be game changing.

I have an idea for a better Facebook syndrome. It's prevalent in all ego. Yes you can build the better mouse trap but you didn't. Curiosity I believe is not the issue. It is attention span.
