I love sewing, knitting and crochet. I also sing with my singer/songwriter husband. We live in a small town on the shores of the North Sea.

Thank you. I love both the pattern and scrap quilts hence my crazy idea to do a scrappy version. I’m handpiecing it and hope to hand quilt it as well. I also like this pattern as a two colour quilt which would be much less stitching.

Thanks, I’ve got one, I’ve also got even feed on my machine. I use leaders and enders but I’m never very satisfied with the results.

Thank you so much. I think of them as art especially when the quilting is added to give it a third dimension. I absolutely loved making this quilt using old shirts and household linens.

If it gets really cold I’ll just put an extra quilt on the bed.

Yes, marked very lightly in pencil. It washes away after being soaked in tepid water overnight.

You don’t have to mark it all at once, draw the main framework of the design and fill in the details of each area as you go.

Thank you, years of practice and I still haven’t got it right.

I think humans will always outshine AI. For me, in the artisan world, AI is just a means of stealing our creativity and convincing the gullible that these fake images and instructions are real.
