But it is all painfully slow given the existential threats to Ukraine and the genocidal terror of Russia. Holding fast to moral high ground of international norms and process while Ukraine is mauled and the EU is menaced misses the innate emergency that liberal democracies face.

I don't know EU law/finance that well but all this probably is all in conjunction with the parallel efforts of the Special Tribunal for Crimes of Aggression Against Ukraine. www.coe.int/en/web/porta...

I think we are watching the painfully slow process of the adjudication phase of seizing these assets. We are in the middle of three part process. This middle part sets the debt owed. The final step is the right to seize (and distribute) the assets to Ukraine. www.coe.int/en/web/porta...
