She doesn’t come back. It then leads to them a bit older, exchanging letters, but it's only showing their hands.
There's a sentence covering the whole page: Est-ce que tu penses à moi souvent ? (Do you think about me often?)

Comic page, following of the story. It shows an older nao, reading sanwu's letter or thinking about what she's going to write. It's unsure. Next panel is sanwu waiting for nao's letters, sitting on stairs, still in thavnair. The letters never come again. The stairs are now empty and the season changed. The next panels show sanwu and nao as they are in ARR. sanwu looks down, nao looks up. Then their heads turn, as they are looking to each others. They will meet again.
