Many content creators are upset with the choice to incorporate all humanoid creatures such as Orcs to a Monster Manual appendix specifically for humanoids such as the Priest or Performer. This choice comes with the addition of Orcs as a core playable species in the Player’s Handbook.

Today, the embargo on the 2024 #D&D5e Monster Manual dropped. Many of the monsters, including the Archmage, Lich, and apex-level creatures (Kraken, Tarrasque), got major buffs. This will be game-changing for encounters to feel truly threatening when the skill floor of all PCs is now Hexblade level.
