I have approximately zero following on this app, sharing in the hopes it can get in front of the right person. A man I went to college with’s wife was kidnapped by ICE at a green card hearing, and he’s trying to find a reporter who will speak to him about the situation

If your child is struggling to read at grade level or at all, KEEP READING!

Let them see you read. Talk about what you read, what they read. Reread their favorite books. Read them aloud! Have them read the physical book while listening to and reading along with the audiobook.

Watermelon tastes amazing this summer. It was 92° when these Kern County farm workers were harvesting the melons this day. An average melon weighs 20 lbs. Workers toss them to each other as they put them in the trailer. #WeFeedYou

These Central Valley farm workers are hard at work harvesting tomatos. This involves a lot of bending, reaching, and carrying heavy loads. This is very hard on the body - especially on days like this day where highs reached 100°. #WeFeedYou

Ever wonder where the tomato on your #July4th burger comes from? These Central Valley tomato harvesters spend hours bent over under the sun harvesting. On an average they lift around 170 buckets a day. Each bucket weighs 25 lbs. It’s exhausting, physical labor. #WeFeedYou

Farmworkers spread out 13–16 per side and spend the entire day hunched over, picking tomatoes as fast as they can. If they’re on the far end, they run across the field to reach the trailer. The dumper checks each 25lb bucket is full. Then the puncher gives them credit. #WeFeedYou

Martin Diaz came to the U.S. as a toddler, fleeing cartel violence with his family. They had proof of the danger—a letter from a Michoacán official. He married a U.S. citizen & was advancing his visa.

Then ICE showed up at his home in Spokane: no warrant, no ID

Forced disappearances are the trademark human rights violation of the world's most infamous dictators. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights were designed to stop arbitrary and discriminatory abuse of power and cruel and unusual punishments.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.

Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.

That’s why Trump is attacking education, science, museums, and the arts – to prevent us from learning.

It's Fascism 101.
