Underpass under LRT bridge (near Lees Avenue) is flooded and icy. It wasn’t safe to go through this afternoon. Had to backtrack to Lees and around.

Alexandra Bridge reopened to cars while I was away. I’m not impressed.

It should have remained open to active transportation only. People had already changed their habits.

Cherry on the cake. Kid finds biking home faster than other modes of transportation. I fully agree. ⚡️

Ban cat lanes, ease congestion.

This mini bit of cycle track ends in a painted bike lane. I chose not to ride it and stay on the sidewalk to avoid riding and skidding in slosh, which would have been dangerous. 4/4

In the absence of segregated bike lanes, don’t be surprised if you see bike tire tracks on sidewalks. Snow/slosh accumulate in a painted bike lane and make it dangerous to be on the road.

Riding on fresh powder is fine. You get good grip. Being in a segregated bike lane means that you’re safe on the off chance you fall or a car starts skidding (it was more sloshy in the car lane). #BikeLanesSaveLives 2/4

Tonight I rode home in a snow storm. Not far, mind you. But here are some observations.

Somewhere close to the entrance and exit to the garage is an island where the racks used to be. But I seem to recall something changing more recently (I forget if it was a cage or something else). Good luck.
