It is that one. Maybe I'll just give mine away since I bought that one when it was already on sale a year or so ago lol

A Silksong and Expedition 33 have already won in other forms. It's more the emotional tie/impact and some gameplay favortisms that take the spotlight.
Arc Raiders accomplishes a lot for its specific genre early on. If it doesn't win, big deal. However, it fully deserves it over every game this year

It has all the elements of a story, movie, series finale and packs it into a nifty Starship Troopers meets Terminator setting. Without trying to clone or recreate them. You decide the action. But when it happens, hoo boy is it action jacktion PACKED.

That is all.
I love this game.

One of the patrolling guard bots that seems like any old robotic Octotripod...thingy notices you and lets out a disturbing screech. THEN IT LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND HURLS ITSELF AT YOU WITH A ROCKET PACK!
Like the army firing AK-47's at Godzilla, you quickly figure out the game has you outmatched.

It dances with the notion of realism until it reminds you that it's a game that happens to be intense when it wants to be.
The game gives you a setting that feels real, even with the overtaken world look and feel, it *does* feel lived in. Something happened worth combing over. Then, it happens

How is the bathroom door locked? Deadbolt or just knob lock?
