I work tech support and I am the only dissenting voice in my workplace when it comes to AI. We are rolling out AI support tools for my workplace and I refuse to use them. My boss made some comments about how people need to get on board with AI or they will be left behind. I am biding my time.

I am just there because my work wants to fix a computer at the Toronto office so they are ferrying me there, I doubt I will have time to be known in every trans circles, so you win this time!

It's just accepting that self-ID sometimes includes terms I might not personally be comfortable with. Since my world view is centered around justice and equity, I don't want one where people are forced to police themselves all the time. It's not that hard of a thing to accept all in all.

Ya know, that's a very fair stance. I think it's more of a yellow flag than a red flag because then I have to figure out if it comes from a place of self-empowerment or if it comes from a place of exclusion. But I should shift from reacting to the term itself to react from what people say.

Honestly I side-eye anyone who uses the term transexual instead of transgender (except for trans elders) because I assume they're the "I hate enbies and am a truscum" type of people. Basically, pick-mes and fuck-you-got-mine folks.
