Also anyone who doesn't like looking at the bric a brac section in charity shops is dead inside. What even is this thing I found

I don't see how the way this has been sold off any different to the way Elizabeth Holmes sold Theranos. These people should not be allowed to let beliefs like this become widespread, and should face consequences for doing so.

Meant to attach this

Ah yes.
June 10, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Is this "setback"?

My schoolfriend's dad is completely poisoned by Facebook and would totally fit in in that pub - lovely guy in "real life" when I knew him 25 years ago, but now pretty much exclusively reposts stuff like this from a group called "Enter At Your Own Risk"

Ooh, not managed to listen to this yet! I saw the images from Tucson and it *really* struck me how much harder it is to organise (or build any kind of community generally) when you're split apart like this
June 4, 2025 at 12:09 PM
Uh yeah this is the other angle
June 4, 2025 at 8:59 AM
Yes I am working can't you tell

I took these photos walking between school and soft play in the rain last year when talking about this on twitter. Imagine this but double. Bin day is a bad day with a buggy. But at least I can move the bins and get up/down kerbs. Wheelchair or mobility scooter? Bad luck, stay at home I suppose

Alas, no zebra.

How many spaces is that?!
Universal have just got initial approval for their first European theme park in the UK and they're claiming they'll need c.4200 spaces. Trying to get my eye in 👀

Felt instructive to see some of the Tesla protests, especially Tucson. If these are your public spaces, no wonder it's hard to organise, or be anything except hyper individualistic

This?
May 26, 2025 at 8:16 PM
It can't be pronounced jif because these are both already Jif. Sorry but those are the rules, the name is claimed
May 26, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Please sir, what side of the bridge am I?
May 25, 2025 at 7:05 AM
The UK says pffft, hold my beer while I cycle along this at 70mph maps.app.goo.gl/3BbSqevPVeVR...
Worth tracking it up the sliproad to see how you're supposed to stay on the main road as well.
These are depressingly not that unusual in the UK

I'm expecting a big push for a lot more of those awful pavement-narrowing railings that are supposedly "for pedestrian safety" but are actually just there to stop people crossing where it's convenient for them. Like between a supermarket and a hotel, for example.

And give @chrisboardman.bsky.social more money/power at Active Travel England while you're at it. www.streetparty.org.uk/roads-traffi... . They worked this out in 1969 and we're still pretending not to know.

But all these eastern Europeans what are coming in, where are they flocking from?
May 12, 2025 at 11:50 AM
Also this, which is interesting.
May 11, 2025 at 11:14 AM
Yes. My one-man focus group is my schoolfriend's dad's Facebook. Haven't spoken to him in years. Always the nicest guy, would drop anything to help anyone. Ex RAF, ex lorry driver. Facebook has poisoned him and now he posts stuff like this, relentlessly.

Yep...Cambs 2013 vs Cambs 2025:
Fenland (the northern part of the map) loves to bounce between the Farage party and the Tories, who in that area are pretty Farage-coded tbh. (note: Lincolnshire also has a big ol' fen)
