IT updates typically start at Saturday midnight to the following morning. Not during business hours. No matter what zip code you type, it fails. I believe this is deliberate. Fuckers!!

Looking at an "Apple Indirect" solo someone transcribed and totally missed the mark. The low "G" is an open string. The low "Ab" is actually a low "G" - a false note. Django Reinhardt used false notes ingeniously. It's too fast for the human ear to know. "Fake it until you make it!" --as they say.

Guitar Pro 8 has a feature I've been trying out and I have to admit, it's pretty awesome. This a the last section of Django Reinhardt's 1939 "Low Cotton" solo. It's a real tool in getting the rhythm notation correct. The TAB is for a two finger solo. Enjoy!

Guitar Pro 8 has a feature I've been trying out and I have to admit, it's pretty awesome. This a the last section of Django Reinhardt's 1939 "Low Cotton" solo. It's a real tool in getting the rhythm notation correct. The TAB is for a two finger solo. Enjoy!

A year ago, when I learned about Steamboat Willie going into the public domain, I began looking into songs published prior to 1929 and found a ton of swing jazz tunes. Here's a very short list that I'll be adding to in January. Play any of these in a venue that hasn't paid BMI & ASCAP fees. Wow!

I asked a lady at Aldi if I could give her a quarter for her cart. She gave me the cart and wouldn't take the quarter. I left the cart there after we shopped - with the quarter. Someone is going to use that cart and keep the quarter.

I'm a big smart home geek. Using Home-Assistant as the main portal to all things 'smart' I added access to our Evergy account to monitor our usage. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that 65% of our electricity comes from non-fossil fuel sources. Let's see if that increases.

Here's a beautiful example of a 'shape' that Django used in a ton of solos. This is all played over a D7 chord in his 1937 gypsy jazz solo from "Confessin'". The chromatic shape is awesome. The tab is to be played with two fingers. Hey, you want to learn Django? Play like Django... mkay?
