Genuinely I think the mindless fetch quests is what made me fall in love with the characters. So much dialogue hidden behind these stupid little delivery missions. The found family bickering over anything, you can really feel how much they love and trust one another

I feel the exact same way! While I think Automata is easier to recommend as a more polished experience, Replicant really really sold itself to me in particular.

"I will bring you a hundred heads of our foes as an offering, mistress!"

"...No. That's a war crime."

"Oh you are so correct, SO correct! You should deprive me of rations."

"Also a war crime."

"Solitary confinement for my insolence?"

"NO."
