This is like the city of Broken Hill - a town built on mine tailings or mine tailings dumped on a town. This is wine Jim, but not as we know it. A strange, not unpleasant diversion, somewhere between a Rose and a sherry with alcohol to help. Fortified or adjusted, old oak or concrete. Terroir? No.

From sleuthing Brian Miller...I think "Champalia" works well and rolls of the tongue-"Sheralia", not so much. You can understand why they were met with "cordial approval" by the French becasue they were rubbish.
