“The president seems genuinely not to grasp the difference between respect and fear…” He can’t, because he never had it modeled for him. His father was an abusive tyrant and bully, and his mentor, Roy Cohn, reinforced the lessons, resulting in the quivering pile of need and insecurity we see now.

Plenty of people would be happy to tell him but it’s impossible to break through the wall of toadies insulating him from reality. Even if you could tell him, he’s emotionally incapable of believing it, although I think at some level he knows he’s a laughingstock hence the desperate overcompensation.

“But his name should not adorn anything official, anything that represents our country and its government…” That doesn’t go far enough. Congress must pass laws against naming anything after living presidents, and set up regulatory bodies, under the Legislative branch, that control future changes.

How much money would you rake in if you put the demolition of Trump monuments on pay-per-view, or broadcast it live and sold ads, like the Super Bowl, or auctioned off swings of the sledgehammer or pushing the plunger to detonate the explosive charges?

Everyone should take note of how it did not crumple at all. In a two or multi-car crash, Cybertruck forces everyone else's vehicles to absorb its energy, damage and injury. It's the ultimate Republican car.

I’ve had more than one boss who, if they drowned in a puddle, would increase productivity significantly. Come to think of it, I’ve had more than one at a time.

“But the Trump administration has severely misinterpreted its mandate…” No. They haven’t. They don’t care what people want. THEY want the US to be a white, Christian ethnostate. They just had to fool enough gullible, desperate voters to get the power to do it.

They also could have negotiated in good faith to reach a compromise. They chose not to do that either. Democrats rightly refused to vote for a terrible bill. They didn’t “force” anything.

“Donald Trump nor the Republicans in Congress have been willing to extend—not even after Democrats forced a six-week government shutdown to demand it.” Democrats did not force a shutdown. Republicans could have ended it easily by nuking the filibuster. They chose not to. It’s all on them.

Our gerontocracy is a problem. But Ron Johnson has been an idiot and ranked in the top 3 dumbest people in the Senate since his rookie season of 2011. He’s faced stiff competition from Tommy Tuberville since he joined the league in 2021. This is Johnson working to defend his crown.

Would it though? This is a guy whose cult members took to proudly wearing diapers outside their pants when it came out that he regularly shits himself. I can only imagine what they would do to normalize him giving blowjobs. His next rally after those pictures came out would be lit!

Nixon was going to get away with it until John Dean testified that Nixon was involved in the cover up, and “Oh yeah, it’s all on tape.” Trump’s crimes require impeachment. Expose all the evidence. It’s not impossible that enough Republicans would vote to convict to save their own skins.
