It ruined my mood to find Stanley Baxter is one year away from getting a letter to the King. Does he do that or was that just Elizabeth II?
Bing Crosby was already dead by the time his ATV special "Merrie Olde Christmas" aired in 1977. His duet with David Bowie would become a standard, posthumously. Stanley Baxter is now 99, and has outlived Crosby, Bowie, Ron Moody, and four of Bing Crosby's sons (Crosby was a terrible father).
