Same guy from the other place with the opinions about pop culture and urbanist-type things, and such.
Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

The 1998 team might have gotten more respect if there was a wild card and I don't think playing in these uniforms can be helping either.

I can only drag my family on so many urbanist adventures and couldn't do a whole tour but at least made it to the Norton House and saw the Disney concert hall. I wanted to do the tour of the latter but didn't have the time, alas. Next visit...

Somehow Doug Ford is going to try to take credit for this.

Just an amazing rash of hate over the past week or two in Toronto and the GTA.

Mark Nov. 11 on your calendar as the day Toronto Police are looking for two separate suspects in two different antisemitic attacks.

The J in CIJA stands for Jewish, not Friendship, so that's a weird mistake.

But if Jews are only 3% of the population, perhaps it's not tactical and the real, community-level question is how public opinion on this foreign issue spills over into cities, and what mayors are doing to fight it?

Blue Jays fans looking for perspective in the coming days and weeks would do well to read this, from @benlindbergh.bsky.social at The Ringer.

It feels like every urbanist who posted gloating pictures of the Dodgers Stadium parking lot owes an apology.

Having the stadium next door to the country's biggest transit hub doesn't count for much when there's no transit service running from it after games. Small-town embarrassing, actually.

Poetry. Happy for Max.
What a pleasure to watch him do his thing one more time.

I'm not suggesting the banners have been telling us how long it'd be until the Blue Jays won again. But I'm also not not suggesting it...

Someone will make a tshirt with these 2 images and it will be a shirt that will be purchased by many people.

(also, is there a word in English for when you repost something by @wilnerness.bsky.social and then it gets reposted by @normwilner.bsky.social [or vice versa, I suppose]?)

Amusingly (not at the time, though), our hunt took us to a park in Vaughan that had a "public" cage but just for practice. Not for fun.

People used to do this for fun and bonding and stuff! We can again!

I confess, I didn't appreciate the strength of the World Series Dirt market.

The Fox pregame show just had a super cool drone shot of the CN Tower. (the altitude here would be around 350 metres)

I certainly prefer our vibes but I mentioned the other day that I hate to say it but I drove to a Dodgers game when visiting LA and was expecting to be a nightmare. Aside from a bit of traffic, the parking experience was very civilized.🤷
(Caveat: the Jays were losing so we left a bit early.)

Yeah, I know concert tickets and groceries and all that stuff costs more these days

2 #Bluejays tickets from the 1993 World Series, 100 level, right field corner.
$78 each.

That's about $220 with inflation but I think these now go for over $1500 each.

Its a bit wacky.

I'm sad to say that I still haven't seen any salmon this year but it's still gosh darned pretty along the East Don right now.

The 4-1 Bills playing Monday Night Football at the same time the Blue Jays are playing ALCS Game 2 is the most First World Problem I've had this year (beating out attending the Saints game and having to listen to the Jays clinch on the radio).
