Same guy from the other place with the opinions about pop culture and urbanist-type things, and such.
Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

"The stark reality is that for years, Netanyahu has not been leading Israel but rather has been led by those whose support he needs to survive, and his nation has suffered for it, slowly shredding its internal cohesion, democratic legitimacy, and international freedom of action."
Netanyahu Just Admitted He’s Unfit to Lead Israel
In attempting to call off his corruption trial, Netanyahu didn’t incriminate himself, but he did something just as damning.

Somehow Doug Ford is going to try to take credit for this.

See the TURTLE of enormous girth! On his shell he holds the earth. His thought is slow but always kind; He holds us all within his mind. On his back all vows are made; He sees the truth but may not said. He loves the land and loves the sea, And even loves a child like me. "

As I said at the other place, this is a fascinating listen.
With such a in-depth interview, Meslin is able to explain himself at length, making sense for a bit but ultimately exposing all the underlying contradictions and hypocrisies he's constructed.
My question is not if Jews who protest Israel are disloyal to Israel.

I want to know how their actions impact other Jews here in Canada.

Today I sit down with antizionist Jew, Dave Meslin. www.canadaland.com/podcast/3-as...

Amazing something so evident needs to be written in a Opinion piece but in 2025 Toronto it's good it's being said nonetheless.
Open version of my op-ed: Canada protects freedom of expression as a fundamental Charter right. But while the speech is protectable, there must be consequences for those with the intent to harass or intimidate others based on their religion or political beliefs.

Why Freedom of Expression Must Not Become a Right to Harass or Intimidate - Michael Geist
My latest Globe and Mail op-ed opens by noting that my grandparents arrived in Canada in 1948, seeking to build a new life after surviving the Holocaust and knowing that most of their family had been ...

No such thing as bad publicity?
After an antisemitic attack on a Jewish pedestrian in Toronto, police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. This follows multiple antisemitic incidents since October 7.

Just an amazing rash of hate over the past week or two in Toronto and the GTA.

Mark Nov. 11 on your calendar as the day Toronto Police are looking for two separate suspects in two different antisemitic attacks.

Did she also say something about a single Toronto synagogue being vandalized 10 times?

Was a solidarity march announced, just to make it clear that these 2 things are actually completely separate issues?

Now that attacks on this one Toronto synagogue have hit double digits, I feel pretty confident calling this an abject failure of leadership, and well beyond, at this point.

What makes social media beautiful is the diversity of voices in display.

Great to see everyone blaming a different Blue Jay for costing us the series, for example!

It feels like every urbanist who posted gloating pictures of the Dodgers Stadium parking lot owes an apology.

Having the stadium next door to the country's biggest transit hub doesn't count for much when there's no transit service running from it after games. Small-town embarrassing, actually.

I should be crushed.
But I remember the spring, when this team was coming off 74 wins and we didn't know if Vladdy and Bo would still be on the team by mid-year.

This was a nearly perfect dream.

Also, I'm a Bills fan and those 4 Super Bowls broke my spirit.
Sad. But what a season. What a series. Sigh.
