I was a bit worried when I saw the Smoking Popes put out a single titled "Allegiance" (what with Josh being a born-again christian an' all), but thankfully it's an anti-Trump tune.
(Not crazy about the lyrics, there's probably a better way to express it, but the sentiment's right-on)

I recently reread the Dark Knight Over Metropolis trade and it's interesting that just a few issues later Ordway has Supes put the statues of Jor and Lara back together and talk about the importance of honoring his adopted AND biological families.

It's kinda fascinating how Trump's awfulness inevitably lays bare the Democrats' own inhumanity. Oh, so you're saying you could've been resettling refugees in three months instead of making them wait upwards of a year all along but Democratic politicians have refused to do because they hate POC? Ok.

Truly perfect albums are few and far between, I'd say even a lot of my favorite albums aren't perfect, but when I saw people were doing that whole "post an album that came out when you were 21" thing, this is the first one I thought of.

I really hope this isn't a Slowdive situation, where people only get into one band and don't dive any deeper into the genre.
