My most recent #handspun, fresh off of my EEW 6.0 wheel! 🧶
It is a fractal ply / barber pole combination. I spun the blue and brown top as is and split the green and brown top and spun end over end and then spun them together.
505 yds and 232 g, I'm really happy with the twist on this one!

Finally finished Clue 2 of the #MusiKAL. For Clue 3, I had the idea to pre-measure out yarn for each color block to reduce ends to weave in (See annotated photo for what I am going for).
Any suggestions on how many grams I should set aside for each color stripe?

Finally finished Clue 2 of the #MusiKAL. For Clue 3, I had the idea to pre-measure out yarn for each color block to reduce ends to weave in (See annotated photo for what I am going for).

Recently wore my first hole in a pair of handknit socks. The mend looks pretty good, I think! I repeated my repairs on the other sock since it was wearing thin.

This is why during pattern writing, I will pull gauge swatch data from dozens of other patterns with the same yarn weight and look at the spread of those data and compare it to my gauge. For example, this is data I've collected so far for worsted weight on US6.

I LOVE this base! The 20% silk gives the yarn a drape and a sheen that is gorgeous when paired with this colorway. This is easily my favorite hat now 🧶

My method is a rinse and repeat of these three images - add a cuff, try on and mark where to put the toe and heel with pins, put toe and next cuff stitches on lifelines, cut, knit toe, knit afterthought heel. :)

Tour de Fleece check in! I decided to split the second braid to get a fractal effect in the plying. Now that I am seeing both braids spun up, I am very excited for the final result.

This yarn jumped onto my needles barely after it left the shipping bag, and it is because, well, look at it!
All 150 scrumptious grams are going to become a #musselburgh and easily going to be what I wear the most this coming winter.

This is my favorite project this year so far! Doppio sweater using grey mohair and Hipster Scum held double (dyed by the talented @oldrustedchair.bsky.social). It is knitting up SO quick and even better than I dreamed. The camera does not do the vivid oranges and cool grays justice.
