With so many new people coming here, I find myself following many of them. And my acceptance criteria is spotty at best. If only i had a tool to scan my follow list for questionable behavior.

Then again cropping away when such behavior exhibits itself might just be all i need.

Help me make a list of uninteresting thanksgiving table topics. To be graded by the level of uninteresting.

I’ll start.

- Why are forks placed on the left side of the plate?

Reentering Bluesky after quite a break. I’m optimistic.

My brother gave me a guitar a few months ago as he was dying. So I’m a beginner, starting late in life. I find it fascinating. So many dimensions of learning.

Democracy dies when stupid people say stupid things and there are enough other stupid people that listen to them. It’s a critical density of stupid.

I exist as mostly a dynamically varying simulation projecting a myriad of futures selected by an imperfect process. I get glimpses of this when severe events break through and alter my perception phase lag. Neuro muscular reactions mostly do just fine. I live 500- 800 milliseconds in the past.

On average as a species we are quick to judge but slow to appreciate.

I commit to condition myself to actively search for value in ever larger range of considerations.

My sense of the risk of pain has evolved. I have experienced a rarity of impossible pain. Which makes it acceptable. Or easier to deny. So risk is tolerable. I am lucky. I am privileged.

My trekking poles impress me as a cheap, available and effective tool for creating regressive exercise movements.

1. Off the shelf. (rubber tips)
2. Inexpensive. (<$100)
3. Low storage space
4. Quick to reach and use

I’m having quite some fun using AI to help me explore my feeble attempts at writing poetry. Getting it to iteratively analyze, rewrite and reformat what I’ve done helps the poem and my understanding of the AI.
