For real they are the cutest little leggy nuggets. I used to keep A.gigas, and when they occasionally 'gnawed' on me it was not too dissimilar to a garden snail licking you with their radula. Such slow gentle little beasts. Just gotta remember to wash your hands after handling

Definitely some truth in that. My best friend and I met when we were 5, people at school thought we were twins due to our similarities and the fact that we clung together like barnacles. 28 years later and we're still best friends. Turns out we both have similar flavours of the 'tism.

AI sucks all the humanity out of creating. I don't want my fiction chewed up and spat out by a soulless, ecosystem scarring automaton in the same way I don't want my sandwich pre-chewed and spat into my mouth by an oil magnate.

I raised myself on fanfic - it has gotten me through the worst times of my life. It fuels my love of creating, of literature and of fandom. Writing fanfic taught me that the act of giving is its own joy. If I ever publish it will be in large part to small creators spinning these tales.
