On May 15, my last day in London, I gave a presentation on #herbaria (of course!) at the Linnean Society. I was generously introduced by the new Honorary Curator of Botany, Jacek Wajer. I'm very grateful to everyone at the society for their support.

On May 14, day 17 of my London trip was very fortunate to visit the photographer of Fritiallaria, Laurence Hill @botanical-icones.bsky.social‬, and be shown many of his original works including this shadow box of Fritillaria imperialis against the frontispiece of Parkinson's Paradi in Sole.

Day 15, May 12 of my London trip, I went to the Cambridge University Museum @cuherb.bsky.social and was given a wonderful tour by Mar Millan and Juliet Anderson. Mika Hyman was also there, but I didn't get her picture. They all showed me amazing treasures. #herbarium

May 8, day 11 of my trip to London, visited the botanist David Goyder and he gave me a wonderful tour through the African specimens he studies and the images that often accompany them. This one from John Kirk, on Livingston's 2nd Zambezi Expedition.

Day 9, May 6 of my London trip included a visit to the Kew archives to look at exsiccata including this anonymous collection of grasses from 1815. #herbarium

Day 7, May 4 of my London trip, went to Chelsea Old Church where there is a memorial to Philip Miller and to Hans Sloane, both with connections to Chelsea Physic Garden which was too busy to visit on a Bank Holiday Weekend.

On my first day in London, April 25 I visited Kensington Gardens. From the beginning, my trip was about plants!
