Mostly lurking. Might post when I feel the need.
Sadly, that isn’t new. In 2018 I was dismissed was dismissed by a twenty-something HR gal for not having workplace data science experience even though I was a software developer who had just completed a data science credential and portfolio in my off hours while working full time.

Yeah, “covfefe” was a tweet. I’m thinking something happening on live TV that cannot be censored.

If Trump dies on live TV, then his bootlickers will reenact “Weekend at Bernie’s”, I bet.

You have me stumped thinking of a symptom that cannot be hidden. I was going to say fecal incontinence, but then his handlers will just have him wearing Depends. Maybe he will wake up from one of his on-camera naps and start sputtering gibberish that cannot be parsed as English?

I would only watch the MST3K version

I don’t know, maybe they can use more of those spray-painted plastic decorations that have proliferated on the walls of the Oval Office instead of real materials? Trump doesn’t seem to need quality building materials based on the White House modifications thus far.

I agree with the previous posters that it’s rich to hear this from the Trump administration, who have caused so many to lose their jobs through the DOGE bloodshed, or even their lives through the shuttering of USAID, and the violence of ICE, and that’s just for starters.

It’s a puzzlement that people are fiercely resisting being dragged out of their cars by masked thugs who jump out of unmarked vehicles.

We can hope that it will get constructed out of substandard materials and then start falling apart

Yeah, I didn’t think it was far-fetched that the Trump administration would do a flying leap into authoritarianism. Most people seem to imagine that there are guardrails somewhere, and Trump’s first actions beginning in January were to get rid of the guardrails.

I remember hearing that people down in Silicon Valley were complaining about Larry Ellison flying his jet in at all hours 25 years ago, so he evidently didn’t care about behaving himself.

Why don’t they just pave over their front yards to convert them to driveways? Then they get to privatize the street in front of the curb cuts. I saw that happen all over SF when people retrofit garages 25 years ago.

Hmm, seems like driving over the speed limit in a 38-mph zone when you already have nine points on your license should be a common-sense thing to avoid, but then again, if I had her net worth, I probably wouldn’t have taken a few tickets that seriously, either.

And Trump’s tariffs are making food more expensive for Americans, so the point is…?

It might work if you have a Harrison Ford on hand to give feedback: “You can type this s**t but you sure can’t say It”

I’m so proud to be a long-time lapsed Catholic.

Yeah, I went into DC on Tuesday to work and ate dinner at a pleasant Italian restaurant. It’s so much better than the hellhole it used to be before the pandemic when there were more shops open downtown, the food was more affordable, and restaurants didn’t tack on a 4% surcharge to my bill. /s
