Not actually true David. Population estimates for skate are increasing 📈harbour health is best it’s been in a decade. It’s naturally v low in DO. Aquaculture in MH now subject to nitrogen cap etc. They are being bred in captivity too. I can send you links to latest publications if you like.

It’s happening and the harbour health has improved. Also many skates in captivity & population estimate for 2024 is 📈

No salmon expansion has been proposed for the harbour, and UTas has recently found the population estimate to have improved to 2014 levels. I can share the link if you would like to see the latest data.
