Taking advantage of being able to play wow for free this weekend since I can't work with it snowing. It's been about 4 expansions since I've really played. So much has changed. Exited to see what I can get to before I have to stop
Create a character - humanoid form of the dragon race. Long horns that swoop back with broken bands and chains. Hair is bright red. Pulled back. Face has dark red scales starting at forehead then fades down to human skin, eyebrows are scales. Eyes are violet

Last 2 days my best friend came up to help us work on cleaning the garage. It's been hard working on it by ourselves.
40x20 detached garage with caved in ceiling. Massive amount of the roof is gone and there is a lot of debris all over Large amount of trash bags from cleaning up the garage.

Just made a 2nd one with the netting kind of look. This one I removed a bunch to fix mistakes I could see. So in theory took me 3.5hrs give or take.
Finished bobbin lace project. Similar to the post before of the netting pattern with pink thread. Still pinned to the pillow.

Bobbin lace making going decently. First picture is the one I just finished, had a little bit harder time keeping track. 2nd i did right before & was much easier. 3rd is my progression so far.

The different bobbin lace samplers I have made that will be given away as they are the size of bookmarks. From left to right are the more recent to oldest. Left is pink netting pattern, middle is pink weave with blocks, right is embroidery floss (white, purple, black, green, blue, red) weave that can show off the way the thread goes down the sampler.

I started up a new hobby. Bobbin Lace making. I made my bobbins from skewers & beads (from the dollar store). So far its not bad, trying different things with what I have to see if it's something I'll stick with so I don't waste money.

The project has about an inch of woven design done, where the white embroidery floss is used across while the other colors are up and down. There are pins holding the sides of the project down. The pillow that is being used has a space-type print with animal designs made to look like constellations. In the center is the lace pattern on a white piece of printer paper. Different project from other pictures, the project is a more spaced out woven with the embroidery floss colors changing the design in almost a zigzag design. The bobbins at the bottom have the colors in this order: White, White, purple, black, purple, blue, black, blue, green, green, red, red. A string of 3 lace leaves, not done very well. Using 4 bobbins: 2 dark green, 2 bright green thread. Top "leaf" is dark green, next 2 are bright green. To the top right is written instructions (personal notes to try and remember the order of how it works) Twist both. Standard. 4 over 3 x2. 2 over 3. 2 over 1. 1 under 2. Tension on one side. *original 3 is one that moves. Spread 1 & 4 away to make leaf bigger. Closer = smaller. After pin "close" the leaf by doing a standard.

These stories need to be told. Having graphic novel adaptations for them is great. Being told you can't read something is bullshit. Being told that something as horrific as the Holocaust is too difficult for children to understand, try telling that to the children that had to live it. #bannedbooks

First movie for my spooky season is 1959 House on Haunted Hill staring Vincent Price.
Most trivia for the movie is regular info but it is eerie that the exterior overlooks the Los Feliz Murder Mansion, which happened a few months after filming.

I started playing a solo rpg The Librarian's Apprentice. I am really liking this, even if I only made it a few rooms before I ran out of fatigue.

Did a little bit of art time with my bestie. While they were doing a little bit of painting. I did some lino. When I get home I'll actually try printing it to see how well it turned out.

Living in the US is such a dumpster fire right now. Saw someone talk about Zen Painting and thought I'd take a moment. It's not bad to escape for a little bit to do something like this.

I have been enjoying painting on the artist tiles, I don't typically have a plan when I start but it is very low stakes which ends up allowing me to have more fun

Turned eyeshadow into watercolor. Was fun doing the process.
Table set up with an eyeshadow palette, palette knives, paint brushes, glass plate, mullers, and bottles of gum arabic 2 cups of eyeshadow turned into paint next to the original eyeshadow before it was pulled out of the palette. Both sitting on top of what it looks like on paper. The color as eyeshadow is a yellow-orange (similar to sunflowers), as paint its darker, on the paper much lighter

Earlier this month I found old seashells and decided to try making my own paint. Grinding the shells down is hard work but also so interesting to see the slight color change between the types of powder it can create.
A mortar & pestle next to small seashells. Behind the shells are small containers with ground up shells slightly different shades of grey.
