The guys had stopped attacking the closet door. In fact, he wasn't even in the storage room anymore. He was out of time. His breath caught in his throat as Lunafreya descended from a sky filled with miasmic clouds and Bahamut's avatars. Turned and every bit as daemonic as she'd been in the skies over Insomnia. In a flurry of miasmic feathers, Iris appeared like a smoldering seraph with eagle wings. Her face crowned by black wings and eyes too, clad in a shredded gown of feathers. Her hair floated like she was underwater, completely divorced from her movements as she settled into a martial arts stance. Like a goddess of war and discord, poised to defend her beloved queen. "Luna!" He pleaded as she rose like a cloud of darkness, above his reach. "It's me! Please don't do this! I love you!" Iris was suddenly right there. Noct threw himself to the ground. A fist with blackened fingertips followed by a clawed foot appearing right where his head had been. "Iris!" He shouted, vaulting back to his feet. "Please! You're like a little sister!" Seemingly displeased, though showing no visible emotions, the daemon Iris had become whipped her hand. A far larger version of her mother's sword stretched out from her hand. He rested his forehead against the cool metal grating, eyes still shut to block out the chaos. It was a stupid joke. A stupid, play-argument he and Noct used to get into often. Set on Balefire. That was Noct’s voice and that was Noct’s usual side of the stupid joke. Prompto argued you’d “cast” Balefire versus “setting” someone on Balefire. Being the nerds they were, they could argue that for hours. Even in their thirties, their stupid running jokes periodically rose from the depths as if no time had passed. Something metal creaked and whined. Prompto lifted his gaze. Not far ahead, one of the metal doors yawned open as if of its own accord. Into the thing’s ‘face.’ That should have startled the shit out of him. But it held no further alarm than if one of the others had opened a door for him. “‘Set on Balefire,’” Prompto muttered to himself. He pushed himself to his hands and knees that were both as bloody and torn as his head. He sat back on his knees and wiped his running nose on the sleeve of his coat. The loaned handgun was still strapped to his chest. The loaned rifle and the canvas bag filled with ammo was in arm’s reach too. “Noct, you better be in there,” Prompto grit out and staggered to his feet. He slung the rifle and the bag over his chest, then limped through the darkened doorway. "

The Wraith is cool-looking, but so far nothing holds a candle to The Dreamstone -- my Exotic. Still, I'm glad I was able to finish it!

Finished the Titan Expedition in No Man's Sky last night. Well, to be fair, I "no-lifed" it yesterday. Considering I hyperfocused, I'd say it was good.

Though, I'll never attempt to "raw dog" it -- I'm bringing full stacks of carbon, oxygen, chromatic metal, batteries, etc.

Bad News: I slipped in the shower.
Good News: I was able to control my fall, so I'm fine. I just scared myself.

Cute News: Loki, one of my cats, raced into the bathroom. He immediately started trying to help, including taking my hand in his mouth and pulling with all his 7lbs (3kg) might.
