#Loudoun County’s Hypothermia Prevention Shelter is open for single adults aged 18+ who are experiencing a housing crisis resulting in homelessness. The shelter provides a warm indoor sleeping environment & meals, seven nights a week through March 31, 2026. Learn more: bit.ly/43VIi7z

The LCFR-FMO has determined Saturday’s fire in the 13000 blk of Loyalty Rd. was accidental, caused by an unspecified electrical event in an electrical power distribution panel within the structure. Damages are estimated at approx. $2.7 million. DETAILS: bit.ly/4ps734b

At approximately 3:35 a.m., #LCFR was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 13000 block of Loyalty Rd. Crews arrived on scene and found a roughly 100x150 foot metal building well involved in fire. No reported injuries. The LCFR-FMO is on scene investigating.

📣 EXCITING NEWS! Our annual coat drive has been extended! Now through Sunday, January 11, 2026, every fire and rescue station in #Loudoun will be accepting donations of clean & gently used or new jackets, scarves, winter hats, gloves & mittens.

We'll be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys at any of our fire and rescue stations, through Sunday, 12/7!

With deep sadness, we share the passing of Captain (Ret.) Jan Mitchell on Friday, 11/21/25. Cpt. Mitchell served in the LCFR-FMO from 1990-2011. During her career, Cpt. Mitchell forged the foundation of the FMO, establishing many of the policies & procedures that still guide the office today.

In August, bystanders performed CPR on a man who had collapsed while mowing his lawn in Western #Loudoun until the arrival of #LCFR crews from FS26 (Loudoun Heights). As a result of their quick intervention, the patient made a full recovery. MORE: www.facebook.com/LoudounFireR...
